- Empty the rooms as much as you can.
- Remove all breakables like china, porcelain figurines, collectibles, pictures etc. Strip the beds.
- Drain waterbeds and aquariums.
- Detach any wiring such as power cords for TVs, VCRs, stereos, and computers.
